The 24 hour Trap is something that a lot of network marketers fall into and it is very hard to get back out again. In fact, many people quit their day job so that they can have more time at home, working at a home business, and so that they can have more control over when they work and when they don’t feel like working. Yet so many people get to the point where they are working diligently at network marketing MLM business for 24 hours a day, and not able to stop. This is very dangerous, for several different reasons.
First of all, if you let yourself get to the point where you are working 24 hours a day, this is not as good for your business as you might think it is. You are going to be stuck - stuck with the hours that you have set for yourself, and stuck with the idea that you aren’t getting what you need out of life. It is very easy to burn out when you are working 24 hours a day, much easier than it is to burn out at a regular job. The reason is that even if you don’t like your regular job, there is always going to be a quitting time so you can go home or do whatever you want to do to make your life better. With a online network marketing business, you need to have this as well so that you can stay on top of things.
It is important for you to have the flexibility to unwind and refresh. By doing pleasurable activities and doing the things that are your hobby and of interest you will also invigorate a new creative edge and spark to produce more results passionately. The balance and combination is very important for you to stay balanced in all areas of your life and more importantly for you to have a fun and joyous journey in building your home business enterprise.
It is far too easy to take on enough work to be working all of the time, and this only ends up making people absolutely miserable. It is way too easy to be put into a position where you are unable to stop working, and this is not going to be good for you, or for the business that you are trying to run, by any means. Too much work and not enough play can make you dull and less creative.
Make sure that you are focusing on all important areas of your life when you are working your home business enterprise. Write goals and targets in all areas of your life. Make a list of your personal goals with your family, social goals; make a list of events and weekend getaways that you would like to experience with your family. Take your calendar and schedule in the weekends ahead with planned events and activities. What are your physical goals? Do you have a scheduled time to work out at the gym or at home? Write this in your calendar as well. Plan your week in advance along with time blocks for specific areas in your life.
Create a time block and schedule every day for all areas of your life. This may include time for your spiritual hour, mindset – reading and listening to cds, marketing education, home business advertising implementation, spending time with family, reaching out to friends.
You may have decided to build a network marketing business for many reasons. This may include flexibility in your schedule. Plan your business around your life since you have that option now. What are your priorities? List them out and put them on the calendar for the entire year. Back into your plan with monthly, weekly and daily activities, events and tasks. Make sure you are targeting all areas of your life so you are enjoying yourself owning your home business and seeing great results while you are doing so. Create your schedule and adjust it as you go along so you do not fall into the 24-hour time trap.
