4) How to RESET, troubleshoot, or repair your Helio phone.
If you're having internet problems, MAKE SURE you first try deleting your cache, cookies, history, or even fixing your graphic settings (visit our site). If your phone is acting wacky and weird, it more than likely has crashed, and needs to be reset (very similar to a computer crashing).

a) BEFORE RESETTING, make sure to sync your contacts (directions # 2 above), and transfer all pictures, games, and songs onto a micro SD chip. REMOVE the chip from your phone prior to resetting your Helio phone.
Just keep in mind, your phone will be wiped clean, and reset to factory specs. If you want to save anything...MOVE IT or WRITE IT DOWN!! Things to keep in mind: Calendar, voice memos, pictures, videos, games, ringtones, bookmarked URLs.

b) Contact Helio Customer Service to get your phone's unlock code. Helio’s number: (888) 884-3546.

c) Return to your phone's idle screen > Enter the following ##43546#636# > SELECT: Edit >
You will now see your MDN # / mobile # > WRITE THIS DOWN > Press OK
You will now see your MSID # > WRITE THIS DOWN > Press the red end call button (phone will power OFF then ON)

d) After you have completed these steps slide your phone open to reveal the numeric keypad > Enter ##786# > SCROLL DOWN and highlight RESET > Enter (the flame logo) > Input your Lock Code provided by Helio > Push OK > A warning menu saying “this will restore your device to factory presets” will come up with two options at the bottom of the screen “No” or “Yes” > SELECT: Yes > Your phone will then be reset back to it’s original factory specifications.

e) You will be doing step C again, but this time you will be entering the information you originally wrote down.
Return to your phone's idle screen > Enter ##43546#636# > SELECT: Edit >
You will now see a space for your mobile # > input your number > Press OK
You will now see a space for your MSID # > input your number > Press the red end call button (phone will power on then off)

5) How to charge your Helio cell phone without a wall or car charger ;)
This is really cool. Not only can the USB cord help sync your files, or upload/download content… but you can use it as a charger too! The charging process is a little slower….but HEY…you can’t beat it when you’re in a bind!!

6) How to make HELIO RINGTONES
This is really easy! It took me less than 2 minutes to make my Helio ringtone.
TIP: Your selected song or ringtone should be short (20-30 seconds)

From an idle screen on your Helio Ocean push the very top of the click wheel (this will take you to the web browser) > SELECT: Menu (lower left hand side) > push the right side of the click wheel once >

This will take you to “View” > scroll down > SELECT: Zoom (push the flame logo) > (You will now see percentages at the bottom of the screen) > Push the right side of the click wheel to increase or left side to decrease the size of your browser screen. Once you have the desired screen size > push the flame logo to save your settings.

8) How to find and DOWNLOAD HELIO PLAYER
This application will help you easily transfer Helio pictures, music, and videos to and from your Helio phone. On any computer go to http://www.helio.com/page?p=support_downloads_player > Download it for FREE

9) How to SAVE MONEY >> Watch YouTube videos right from your Helio phone.
You no longer need to spend $2.00 to download a song. You can watch and listen to videos right from YouTube through your Helio phone (your choice: via your speaker, or earphones).

One more benefit of viewing YouTube videos…. They don’t take up storage space on your phone’s memory!!!!!

10) How to search the web right from your Helio cell phone’s idle screen.
Use a one-click shortcut for quick web browser access.

Just push the very top of the click wheel!!! This will take you directly to Helio’s web browser where you can immediately start typing in a URL address.
